The piazza is famous for historical buildings such as – the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and Martyrs as well as the fountain at its centre, surrounding it dating back to the late nineteenth century. It displays Nymph of Lakes taking a swan, the Ocean Nymph with riding horse symbol of the sea, the Underwater Nymph lying on a dragon and the River Nymph resting on a monster.
